Your policy terms are locked in PDFs.

Nobody can answer a coverage question without a lawyer rereading the contract. We turn them into a searchable database, paid on results, and we maintain it.

01 · The situation
“We can’t answer a question across our own portfolio. We have to reopen the contracts one by one.”
What we hear — technical director at an employee benefits provider
02 · What it costs you today

An unstructured body of contracts costs you three things. Legal time, for every coverage question. Delay, for every answer to a broker or a member. And a risk: applying a version that is no longer the right one.

Yet the main cost is not a cost at all, it’s an inability: no department can query its own portfolio.

03 · What we deliver
What it is
  • A searchable database of your policy terms, in a canonical format
  • Hosted and maintained by us, accessible to your teams
  • A discrepancy report with every delivery
  • The body of contracts kept up to date as endorsements come in
What it is not
  • Contract management software
  • A rating engine
  • An underwriting tool
  • A subscription to a generic analytics engine
04 · The first step
Scoping
Two hundred contracts, structured and searchable

Two hundred representative contracts, chosen by you, converted to the canonical format and delivered as a searchable database — together with a report of the discrepancies we find.

The written scope and the database
Scope
200 contracts
Preceded by a free thirty-minute call. The price of scoping is stated before we start; the fixed price of the first increment is given once scoping is complete.
05 · What comes next

Once scoping is delivered, converting the full body of contracts is split into increments, each priced before it starts — you can stop at the end of any one of them. The maintenance that follows — endorsements, new versions, consistency checks — is directed by you.

07 · The questions we are asked
“Why not go with a software vendor?”
A vendor is the right choice when your need is the same as everyone else’s. Of the last three changes you asked them for, how many were delivered? Their roadmap is a trade-off across their installed base, and you are one customer in five hundred.
“What if you go out of business?”
The answer is not to promise you our longevity, it’s to make sure it doesn’t matter: source code placed in escrow with a third party if you ask, documentation delivered with every increment, reversibility written into the contract, standard non-proprietary technologies.
“How much does it cost?”
The price is fixed and given at the end of the assessment. It isn’t shown here because it depends on the scope — not because it depends on who is asking.
